The Gambrinus Brewery
The Gambrinus brewery is one of the largest and most iconic beer producers in the Czech Republic, founded in 1869 in the city of Plzeň. The brand takes its name from the mythical Flemish King Gambrinus, who is considered the patron and legendary inventor of brewing. Today, the brewery shares its production facilities with another world-famous brand—Pilsner Urquell. Together, they are part of the company Plzeňský Prazdroj (owned by the Japanese giant Asahi Breweries).
