Corona

The Corona beer brand was originally produced by the Mexican brewery Grupo Modelo, established in 1925. Today, ownership of the beer's production and distribution is divided between two major corporations: • Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev): The Belgian giant (the world's largest brewer) acquired full control of Grupo Modelo in 2013. AB InBev holds the rights to the brand and produces Corona for the global market, with the exception of the United States. • Constellation Brands: Due to US antitrust regulations, the rights for the American market were sold to the US company Constellation Brands. They produce and distribute the beer exclusively for the US market (with the beer for this market also being brewed in Mexico).
