Stella Artois

The Stella Artois brewery is located in Leuven, Belgium (about a 25-minute train ride from Brussels) and is one of the most modern industrial brewing facilities in the world. It is operated by the world's largest beer company, Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev). The history of brewing at this site dates back to 1366, when the original Den Hoorn brewery was founded (its symbol—the hunting horn—still appears on the bottle label today). In 1717, master brewer Sebastian Artois purchased the brewery and renamed it after himself, while the "Stella" brand (Latin for "star") was created in 1926 as a special Christmas beer for the city's residents.
